And the startitis continues....

I swear I need professional help! I received my silks I ordered from Vikki Clayton yesterday for Ann Trump and Sarah Moon. I already had the fabric (36 ct. Examplar by Lakeside) I got on sale at Elegant Stitch, so I couldn't resist starting a little on Ann Trump. I came across a small dilemma though...

The peach I started stitching is brighter than the DMC, should I change it, or just keep going... hmmm? I wonder if it will matter once it's all stitched. This is my first time using VC silks. I'm very happy with the quality of the silks, especially since they are such a good deal! I guess I could always use the DMC for that section, or look through my silk stash to see if I could get it matched up better.

I got a tiny bit more stitched on January - got some of the lettering filled in. DH has been home, so I haven't been able to do much more. He goes back to work and new Grey's comes on tonight - not that I'm excited about that or anything! :) The LNS I go to in Port Charlotte is having a big sale Saturday and Sunday... I'm trying to tell myself not to go, that I don't need anything (which is so true!), but it's a SALE! Why can't I resist sales? :P Well, baby is awake, so I'd better go! Write later! :)

  1. Do you prefer the brighter peach or the paler peach? How much of it is in the design? I'd say go with what appeals to your eye the most.

  2. A new start is always acceptable on the first day of the month...and the last day...and the middle...and well I guess just about any day, come to think of it!

(pssst ~I started a new one today also, DT Gameboard Sampler.)

  3. I always look at a sale as a way to save $$. "Honey, I saved $40 today" (but spent $60). :0)

  5. No, you can't pass up a sale... think of all the money you will save by going!

  6. Know what? I think these Ackworth samplers are meant to be muted in color. Think that's what you're reacting to with the peach? Go with your gut and switch around VC's to DMC's to hand-dyed cottons...be creative. I'm with you on this as I'm just starting my Sarah Moon!
