I was looking through my threads and I found a very pretty blue by Olde Willow Stitchery called Prussion Blue from their Quaker Colors line. I thought it would be perfect for the new chart I got (Simple Little Quaker). There's just one problem though, I only have one skein! I'll have to order more and hope the dye-lots match! Maybe I should just go ahead and order the right amount that way I know they'll match?? The linen is Country French Latte - I had just the right amount!
I fixed up my stitching corner a little bit, so I thought I'd share a pic. I miss my old built in china cupboard that's in my house in Georgia (I had it all displayed in there), but I guess this will do for now. ;)
I haven't done any stitching today. I have been knitting a little on my 2nd sock from the picture below. I'm hoping to get it finished and then send them out to one of my old co-workers. I promised her a pair of socks!! :) Write later!
Ooh nice thread/linen combination Nicole. I also love your display but I could never hang my threads like that in this house. They'd get dirty in no time (not to mention 2 kitties who would love to swat them!).
ReplyDeleteI love your stitching corner!! Its decorated so nicely :) And that IS a very pretty blue floss - I'd recommend just ordering the number of skeins that you'll need... its so beautiful that it'll be nice to have an extra skein around. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat color choices for your new project-I think it will be beautiful! I like your stitching corner-very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choices for the fabric and thread - it will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching nook looks cozy and fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that Quaker pattern and the color you picked out. I can't wait to see it come together.
