While stitching March I got the urge to start Blackbird Designs "Their Song," so I did!

I was also inspired to start when I saw these in my yard...

Blackbird
There were two of them, but I couldn't get close enough for a decent pic. While stitching I picked up a couple things...

Mary Garry's "Milkpaint Sampler" and Papillon Creations "Simple Little Quaker."
The picture of the Mary Garry sampler does not do it justice. I saw one finished on an Asian website. Click here to view.
I also stopped at the yarn shop on my way up stitch. I had never been in before because I usually have the kids with me and I hate dragging them into places like that. Anyway, I got a few skiens of sock yarn.

Lorna's Laces - Baby Stripe.

Lorna's Laces - Watercolor.
They only had one of the 2nd colorway, so I'll have to make some ankle socks. :) I love Lorna's Laces - it's the same yarn I'm using for these socks...

Well, I think that's enough blogging for one day! I'm ready for bed! Write later! :)
You really got a lot done! Very cute.
ReplyDeleteI was contemplating starting the new loose feather too this week, it's really pretty.
You go girl :) I have been stitching a good bit this weekend as well :)
ReplyDeleteNice start on BS :)
Lovely work Nicole! I love the yarn you picked up. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what the colorway on those socks might be. It's gorgeous.
