Anyway, I did get "My Earth" out last night and it felt so right - no palpitations! :) I finished up one band under the sheep and started on a floral band under that. I realized though that I was using the wrong color thread for the vines. It's supposed to be Deep Green and I was using the same thread as the leaves. I don't think I'm going to rip it out. It gives it a little more subtle look - what do you all think? The deep green is stitched in the flowers above the grass by the pudgie.
I may work on it a little more tonight and then start on my June Flip-it Bit.
Bradley ended up having a very nice birthday - he's in there playing with this huge nerf dart gun thing my mom got him and loving every minute of it! :) Thank you all again for being so supportive and understanding! I appreciate you all!
My Earth is looking beautiful. I love the soft colours in it.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I have this one in my stash...you make me want to stitch it :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the weekend :)
((hugs))
This is lovely, don't rip out the soft green. I like the way it looks. I read your last post-stitch what makes you HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteI love how My Earth is looking. Don't feel about ATS I am sure you will go back to it when the time is right for you.
ReplyDeleteJoanne

ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I agree, leave the soft green, it works fine. Your stitching is so neat, great progress!
ReplyDeletelove "my earth" the clours are so nice !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job !!
That's so pretty, I love the colours.
ReplyDeleteI think the color looks fine - I wouldn't bother taking it out.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely; every time I see a SB in your blog, I'm tempted to pull out another one of mine that I have in my stash.
My DS turned 7 last month, and one of his gifts was a nerf football/missile - it's really cool and I'm happy for him to play with something that's not going to hurt him!
Your My Earth piece looks great to me and I always like the SB colors.
ReplyDeleteMy Earth looks so pretty - really delicate!
ReplyDeleteLovely work on My Earth, Nicolle! Your stitching is always so pretty and fresh looking!
ReplyDeleteYour piece looks wonderful. I totally understand the heart palpitations, only mine come when I am actually PAYING the huge amounts for the materials. [It doesn't stop me though! haha]
ReplyDeleteMy Earth looks wonderful - and I am so glad it is soothing you :-)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Nicole! I'm glad you pulled out a project that delights you. And oh yes, for heaven's sake, keep the green as is- looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteMy Earth looks beautiful, and I think it's better to stop stitching on a project that isn't making you happy.
ReplyDeleteYou should keep it like this Nicole. This is just lovely :-)))
ReplyDeleteYour My Earth is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWork on what makes you happy! Our stitching should bring us joy.
Dear Nicole, thank you so much for your uplifting comment of last week. Now I hope I can do the same for you and tell you that there is nothing more understandable than breaking into a hyperventilating fit when faced with a project as huge as ATS. I think you're a brave woman for even buying it in the first place!
ReplyDeleteMy Earth looks so beautiful Nicole!! I wouldn't rip out anything as it looks stunning! I get kind of burned out sometimes on projects and I am sure we all do. I need to get back to my stitching as my DH has been home and I have been trying to catch up today as he went back to work. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better time.
ReplyDeleteNicole, I think your MY EARTH looks better with the lighter green thread than what had been designed. The darker green would have stood out too much. I think I'm going to do the same with mine, so thank you for the idea. I also started a project on the wrong thread, but finished it anyway--it was a very small piece but drove me nuts the entire time. And thanks for the comforting comments you've left on my blog--yes, I will miss dh when he heads off down the road. But I'll definitely enjoy that first day. LOL Hugs
ReplyDeleteNicole, I love the subtle colours!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the soft colors - it is so soothing. Is this chart available for purchase?? I'd love to get this one.
