Here's a close up just in case you can't see my little spec of yellow! :)
I also thought I'd post a picture of my teeny Red Witch WIP. This little section took about 2 hours. There are a lot of color changes, and for some crazy reason I'm still liking it!
Those are all the red and pink threads. That's just a small portion of all threads needed in this design!
I'm a little late to the party, but I finally bought the first Harry Potter to read with my seven year old. He wasn't interested, but after about eight pages I think I've got him hooked. And I'm so glad I finally know what a muggle is! :) Well, not much going on here. I'm hoping to go stitching later! :)
What a wonderful palette of reds and pinks!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Your QAL is looking just fabulous Nicole :) Every day when I look at your update, I think to myself I need to pull out my l & l WIP again...but alas...too many deadlines of late...soon though soon! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom one muggle to another, I'm reading HP series with my DD too :)
Your QAL is really coming along! I'm enjoying your updates! What threads are those you are using for Red Witch?
ReplyDeleteI'm reading HP book 6 before I begin the last one(sniff), and listening to book 4 on tape whilst working. Love the whole HP world, I'm gonna miss it! My 2 boys have grown up on it since the older one was in 3rd grade, they are both in high school now and still couldn't wait to devour the last book. They are being very good and not spoiling it for me.
I can't wait until Riley is old enough to understand Harry Potter so that I have a good excuse to listen to Alan read them aloud again!
ReplyDeleteThose reds/pinks are awesome! Don't they just work together beautifully. I am really looking forward to seeing your red witch progress as I have no idea what the design actually looks like at the moment.
Queen A is looking great. I think I might have to sneak that one into my stash too :o)
Both pieces look fantastic! I love the new start...those pinks and reds are lovely
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the reds too. I can't get over how fast you are moving along with QAL.

ReplyDeleteNicole,
ReplyDeleteYou're making great progress!
What fun that you're reading with your son. That will always be a wonderful memory for him.
Enjoy your weekend.
well that little bit of yellow looks great!
ReplyDeleteI havent read any of the harry potter books and my brothers already told me how it ends, I dont think I'll even start i've been trying to read like 100 page book in like 2 months now and I am nowhere close to finishing *sighs*
QAL is looking gorgeous - the yellow must be a nice change from all the blue!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the Harry Potter books, either, but I'm thinking of reading them, too.
QAL is looking really pretty! Are all of those empty spaces in her skirt for beads? Wow!
ReplyDeleteGreat start on your HAED project, too!
Beautiful stitching on Queen Anne's Lace. And good luck on your HAED. That one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh wow Nicole! She is looking fantastic!
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces are looking fantastic. I love QAL. Glad you are reading HP - they are so worth it!
ReplyDeleteAre you red and pink threads DMC? Can you share what the cards are that you have them laced through? I am terribly bad about keeping and even finding a way to organize my DMC threads and sadly end up just buying new when I probably already have the color some where in my craft room. I think I just need to pay someone to come and organize all my threads for me. Interested?!? :-)
