I worked on this a little more last night. It's so much fun to stitch!
For those wondering I'm stitching it two over two on 32 ct. Belfast Linen. The threads I'm using is Carrie's Threads. It's my first time using them, and I like them. They're soft and easy to use. Write later! :)
WOW, those colors really jump off the black! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks so vibrant on black. looking forward to seeing more.

ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful, and you are really stitching quickly.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, stitching on black. I can imagine that would be hard on the eyes!! It is lovely though
ReplyDeleteWow that is really beautiful!! Yours looks even prettier than the picture of the pattern!! You are tempting me here!!! I have never even seen Carrie's threads but they look really pretty!! The colors really stand out on the black too!! Debby :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love those colors on the black fabric. Its going to be stunning when finished.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your progress on this piece makes me rethink my opinion of it. It has not been one of my favorites, but now I am thinking differently. Great progress.
ReplyDeleteYou're a very brave woman, stitching that on Black linen!! I bet the finished piece is going to be absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeletebeautiful your work!

It's really stunning, I love the colors on the black fabric. Do you use one or two strands?
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic on the black! Great start :)
ReplyDeleteThis is going to look fantastic when it's done! The pinks are so cool with the black. Are you liking the black to work on? I did 'fire and ice' by Kustom on black linen and it almost killed me, hahahah. Someone said to wear a white skirt or slacks when your stitching as it helps (a bit) as you can see through the fabric a better with the white behind it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats with making your decision. My mum has a saying 'It'll be alright in the end......if it isn't alright yet....then it isn't the end' :)
Everything is coming along nicely for you.
It's looking great...and it seems like a break from your "normal" stitching, which is sometimes nice! Can't wait to see more
