I'm practicing for when I move back South. You'd think I'd be in the South now, but I'm not. I consider Florida the Northern South. Everyone here is from somewhere else like Michigan (my family), Ohio, New York, etc. I can't wait to move back to the South. I can't wait to have some decent barbecue and sweet tea again! :) Anyway, it's just a lazy Sunday here. And I mean lazy! I took a shower and put on some clean pajamas. I have no intention of leaving the house today!
I started Country Cottage Needleworks "Cherry Hill" the other day. I just love all the pink! I'm stitching it on 32 ct. Antique White Lugana.
I needed something quick and fun! It shouldn't take me too long to finish. I also got some fabric I ordered for Drawn Thread's "Random Thoughts." I've had the pattern and threads for a long time now, but after seeing Blandine's stitched I decided to get the fabric. I just love it!!
Well, today is not completely lazy, I'm doing laundry and I guess I'd better get back to it! Write Later! :)
Cherry Hill is looking great, Nicole :) It was almost what I picked out to stitch yesterday but went with Good Deeds instead :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to watching Random Thoughts progress. I too have had the pattern/fabric forever but have yet to make a start :)
Enjoy the week:)
((hugs))
Great new start. I know the next time I look you'll have finished. So I look forward to that.
ReplyDeleteNicole, I just love this new CCS design, and you made a great start! Random Thoughts is gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteLove that Cherry piece! I'm with you...I like the pinks in it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree...there's not much Southern about Florida anymore. Too many Yankees bringing in their Yankee culture...LOL!
Love your new start...the colors are really bright and cheery, very cute!
ReplyDeleteAww, Cherry Hill is too cute!
ReplyDeleteOh...you!!! I was planning on starting this and I was going to be so proud because I've not seen anyone start it yet...and you beat me to the punch! LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteLOOKING GREAT Nicole! I can't wait to see it all stitched up :)
I love pajama days! Tomorrow is one for me. Cherry Hill is so pretty and Random Thoughts was a fun, fun piece to stitch. I can see mine from where I am sitting :-).
ReplyDeleteBTW, had to laugh at your sweet tea comment, my DH loves it! That's his standard for a good restaurant, do they serve sweet tea, LOL.
Oh Nicole, you're such a fast stitcher, and so inspiring! I love this Cherry Hill, broke down and ordered it with another leaflet last week but it's still not here yet :(
ReplyDeleteSeeing your start makes me want mine even more now!
Your pictures are always so great :)
Great start. Ya know, I didn't think anything at all about you're y'all. I say it all the time! Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI love your progress on CHerry Hill.I love pink :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we went to SC to look at homes I was THRILLED that they had sweet tea LOL its the little things that make me happy.
Ah, sweet tea - nothing like it!
ReplyDeleteYour Cherry Hill is so sweet already.
Tanya
Your Cherry Hill is looking wonderful, when are your going to start Random Thoughts?
ReplyDeleteCherry Hill looks great, and the colors look so springlike. Sounds like you are haveing a great stitchy day (minus the laundry, of course).
ReplyDeleteNice start on Cherry Hill Nicole, it looks lovely
ReplyDeleteNice start on Cherry Hill and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on Random Thoughts.
ReplyDeleteNicole, you are awesome! You find AND stitch the prettiest pieces! I love the word "y'all"! So much warmer than "yous", which, I never heard till I moved to Florida.... Egad! {;^)
ReplyDeletePj days are the best! That was my day yesterday & if I didn't have to go get new tires for my car, it would be the same today. Yippee for 3 day weekends! On the way to the tire shop, I'm stopping at Golden Needle to see what is new from Market up close and personal & pick up more fiber for CDC!
Hope to see you soon!
xoxo
~~Martha~~
You choose projects with the PRETTIEST colors! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat start on Cherry Hill. I have to agree with you on Florida (well, northern FL is still kinda southern but the further down south you go the more northern it is).
ReplyDeleteI just love Cherry Hill and I too have it now! Yours is so pretty already and the colors really stand out so pretty on the white fabric!! I just love this one. I would love to use it for a round robin but the house is a little smaller than I need. That means I get to stitch it for ME!! You are doing a really beautiful job on it!! Debby :)
ReplyDeleteThe "Nicole Pinks" are out again, I see! :) So fresh and pretty. I love your start on Cherry Hill! Bet it's already finished by now...;) I love the ya'lls and sweet tea days of the true South, but, oh, how we'll miss you, dear Nicole! Love and hugs, Deb
