Heart of America stitched on 32 ct. Vintage Examplar using Crescent Colours.
This is what I got done last night while dh was watching UFC. I don't understand why he likes it. Well, I guess I partly can understand, but when there's blood, I can't stand to watch it. So stitching is a good thing to do while it's on. It's definitely a man thing.
Well, Matthew is being fussy, so I'd better go! Write later! Thank you again for all your kind comments!!!

It looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start! Welcome to my world where the tv is concerned. My DH likes Law & Order and Sci Fi and it just all bores me! It has to be a guy thing I think too! So glad we have stitching to keep us interested! This is going to be so pretty! I may have to get mine out eventually too. You inspire me! Debby :)
ReplyDeleteGreat choice, Nicole. And are you enjoying your time up there with dh and the kids?
ReplyDeleteAwww see somehow I thought you'd start with the Shepherd Bush Family one since you have everyone together this week, but your decision is also a good one as I love this pattern and eagerly await your progress photos of it.
ReplyDeleteStitch on!
Petra
Fun fun Nicole! I love this one as well as all your choices. I'm supposed to be getting this one from The Attic in AZ. You'll have it done for July 4th in no time!
ReplyDeleteOh freak it...now I'm wetting my pants...its gonna be done before even I know it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe start is great!!
Good choice, look forward to seeing progress pics.
ReplyDeleteI agree,my DH like to watch that UFC also...Uggghhh I cant handle it.especially when there is blood and busted noses.Ewww
I stitch while watches it but every time something happens he says" OMG hey honey, look at that"
Boys LOL
So funny, my husband was watching the same thing! I called Mom and told her to put it on, because my little brother used to play with Kenny Florian! I usually come and play on the computer, I hate UFC! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a talented stitcher Nicole!
yay! I was gonna vote for this one!
ReplyDeleteA great start Nicole - looking forward to seeing WIP
ReplyDeleteGreat start! Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteLots of things to catch up on. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful finishes and new starts. Looking forward to seeing this one progress.
I think your blog is my favorite - you do such amazing work and your pictures make me drool every time.
ReplyDeleteI've actually been looking at a Nikon D40 since reading your blog. You're doing a great job selling them! :o)
I agree with Courtney about your camera, Nicole. It takes fantastic shots! Plus I think you get such good lighting situations. Lighting in my place is a MAJOR problem.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how you usually start with borders. Do you find this easiest? I'm always afraid I'll be a stitch out and won't realise until I'm half way through the piece. Heart Of America will stitch up great, I just know it.
Nice choice, but then they all were lol. I have the lhn "needleworker lives here" i must sort it out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start! Actually looking back over your last several posts, you've been doing splendid! I love the sampler girl and her sister! Herbal tea is great, too!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric you are stitching Heart of AMerica on. It's so pretty!
