Country Cottage Needleworks "Sweet Treats"
Fabric: 28 ct. Tea-Dyed Lugana
Threads: Crescent Colours
Started: 2/23/08 - Finished: 7/30/08
I did substitute one thread. I used Weeks Dye Works Bright Leaf instead of Crescent Colours Peanut Brittle. It was a little darker than the Peanut Brittle, which worked better for the fabric I used. Another change I made was I stitched the word "Tart" using the purple in that block instead of the blue. I just thought it showed up better. Well, now I just have to sew on the buttons and I'll really be done! :) Write later!
It turned out beautifully Nicole. Congrats on the great finish.
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute, Nicole. Congratulations on a lovely finish!

ReplyDeleteNicole,
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Great finish, and good substitutes. I like the purple tart.. differentiates it more from the blue pie.
I'm not a big fan of the Peanut Brittle color.. or perhaps I just haven't found the right piece for it yet. I substituted for it in the CCN Bless Our Home, too.
Back to the Neighborhood, or a new start? :)

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. This is awesome! I had asked you which was your favorite LH to stitch because I have some money burning a hole in my pocket but I just may have to try these. I love to bake and this would be awesome in my kitchen. How big does the finished size measure? Thank you so much for your inspiration. Like everyone else I can't believe how much you get done. But thank you so much for sharing your beautiful creations with us.
