Getting close...
I'm almost finished with the house and then it's on to the leaves and the rest of the design. I should get it finished up this weekend. Speaking of this weekend, I'm going to Florida. We're leaving today after the boys get out of school. I picked a great weekend to go down.
I'm sure it will be fine. As long as these storms stay on the projected patch I will be fine. Wish me luck!

My Class Kit Arrived!!!
I was so excited to open the mailbox yesterday and see a package from Jane Timmers. It was the chart, fabric and threads for the Madeira Tin Project to do the pre-stitching for the class. The fabric (Vintage Light Examplar by Lakeside Linens) and the silk threads (Gloriana) are just gorgeous!!

Bunnies
I have been stitching a little bit on my neighborhood. I couldn't decide what to put next to the girl. I put an orange cat, but I didn't like. I then tried a gray cat, but I didn't like that either. So I went with the original rooster and I liked it better. I was looking through my charts to get some ideas and I saw the bunny from CCN Summer Garden and I thought it might work instead of the squirrels. I got the chart out and counted it and realized it would be a perfect fit. I'm happy with my little bunnies. :)
Well, nothing else going on here. Just enjoying a quiet morning. :) Write later!
P.S. I have a few things listed on ebay. Click here to check them out. :)

Thank You!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has given my an award on their blog. It was so sweet of you all to think of me! I read so many blogs each day (over a hundred), so it would be so hard for me to choose just a few - I love them all! :)
I have been stitching a little bit. I have the grass almost finished on the top portion of my neighborhood. I can't believe I'm getting close to finishing. I have really enjoyed stitching it.

Quaker Faith Hope Love Finished!
I got this finished up last night. This was just what I need a smallish project that I could finish fairly quick.
I also finished the red house on my LH Neighborhood. I just have the top section to do now! :)

A Little More Faith Hope Love
I got Love and Hope finished up yesterday and this morning. Now on to Faith! :) I may get back to my Neighborhood before I finish it though. It's been calling to me.
Jake and Bradley both did very well yesterday. Jake was excited to go back today, so I think he's going to like it! He said he thinks he can go in by himself tomorrow! :) I think he feels very grown up! Well, not much else going on other than it's soooo quiet here right now. Matthew is taking a nap, so I guess I will stitch for a bit! Write later! :)

First Day of School!
It's the first day of school here in Charleston County. And the first day of school ever for my five year old Jake. He was so brave!
It's so quiet here now with only Matthew and I. I'm just kind of wandering around wondering what to do. :)
I had a lot of fun stitching at Amy's this weekend. I was not that happy with how my box turned out though. I may take it apart and do it over. I think I need to use a few more pins to get it a little tighter. Anyway, here is a pic...
I ended up going with the cream (obviously)! Amy had the idea of doing the trim on the top, which I copied. :) I did bring my camera stitching, but forgot my memory card. I have a bad habit of doing that. I think I need to keep an extra one in my camera case.
In other news I started another new project (I think I have been feeling anxious about the boys starting school). I started "Faith Hope Love" by Midnight Stitching.
I did work on my Neighborhood a little bit too. I've almost got the red house finished. I will post a pic after its done. Well, not much else going on here. Maybe I'll take Matthew for a walk. Write later! :)

Up Early
Matthew woke up so early today (around 5 am). I'm not sure why he would do that?? Anyway, I couldn't go back to sleep, mainly because he didn't go back to sleep until just now. So I decided to take some pictures....
I couldn't resist putting in a few stitches in my new canvas work piece! I love it, but I thought I'd better finish my other one before starting a new one...
I just have one more outside border to complete and I'll be done with this one. The colors are definitely funky, and not something I'd normally choose, but they're fun to work with.
I also got my "icing-like" trims yesterday. I couldn't decide between white or cream though. I'll bring both and make Amy decide! :) Here's the cream....
And here's the white...
I think I may be leaning towards the white because it is "icing-like." It matches the beads and there's more of a contrast. I'm sure Amy will know. :) Write later!

New Stash!!
I got my first big Canvas Work project in the mail today. It's "Amish Trip Around the World" by From Nancy's Needle. I'm so excited to start this!! :)
Chocolate Box Finished!
I got it finished with a day to spare! Woo hoo! Now I have to go shopping for some "icing-like" trims. I'm going to check out Hancock fabrics. Hopefully I can find something cute there.
Little House Needleworks "Chocolate Box"
Fabric: 30 ct. Alabaster by R&R
Threads: DMC and Crescent Colours
Started: 8/10/08 - Finished 8/14/08
I don't know how much stitching I'll get done today. I have to do a lot to get ready for stitching at Amy's tomrrow. I have to clean out my car because I'm picking up someone on my way (it's a disaster!!) and I have to get those trims for the finishing! I will get to stitch all day tomorrow though, so I'm not complaining! Hopefully I remember my camera this time so I have some pictures to share! Write later! :)

A Little More Canvas Work...
Thank you to everyone for your kind comments yesterday! I got a little bit more stitched on "Spring Fling." Canvas Work has been very addictive for me so far. I can't seem to put it down! Although, I did put it down for a bit to stitch two more chocolates on "Chocolate Box." :)
Veronica asked about the scroll frame. It's an EZ Stitch Scroll Frame. I got a set of them at Michael's (using my 40% off coupon of course!). :)

Chocolate Box and Something Different....
I have three chocolates stitched so far on Chocolate Box. Just six more and I'll be ready for the finishing on Saturday at Amy's! :)
The fabric I'm using is 30 ct. Alabaster by R&R.
And now for the something different - I have decided to try Canvas Work. I found a couple freebie's online by Laura J. Perin Designs. Here is my first attempt...
I messed up on the little squares. They are supposed to be bigger. Oh well, I'm thinking of making it into a fob. Here's my second attempt...

So Far I have not messed this one up, which is a good thing. I'm enjoying Canvas Work. It's fun and definitely different than cross stitch, but there are still some similarities with it. It's still counted work. Well, not much else! I'd better get back to my Chocolate Box! Write later! :)

Long Time No Post!
I have been feeling blah lately. I think it's the heat! Anyway, I have been stitching. I finished the tree in the middle of my LH Neighborhood and most of the blue house.
I'm still loving it! I need to get started on "Chocolate Box" because Amy is going to help me with the finishing next weekend when I go stitching at her house. I'm so looking forward to it! I need to get out! :) Write later!

I got just a little bit more stitching done on LHN yesterday...
And I turned the heel on my sock!

On to the Middle!
I've finally finished the bottom section of my LH Neighborhood and now I'm on to the middle. I only have the grass and some flowers completed. I haven't decided if I'm going to start on a house or work on the sheepies and the tree. Hmmm... decisions, decisions. :)
I never did get the boys registered for school yesterday. They are only there Mon. - Thur., so I will go back on Monday. I did get most of their school supplies though. I can't believe all the stuff they need! It's crazy! Anyway, they were happy. And Jake was happy to finally be picking out a lunch box after watching Bradley get one the past couple of years.
I was going to go stitching today, but I think I'm going to go downtown instead. I want to check out the yarn shop down there. I need some new sock needles! Write later! :)

Quilting Again
I decided to stitch LHN "Quilting" again because I have nothing else to stitch right now (kidding). I wasn't happy with the fabric I chose the first time. It was too dark and I wanted it to match the others in the series. So I'm stitching it again on Antique White Belfast. I like it so much better!
I also worked on my BFF sock a little bit yesterday. I'm down to the heel flap now. These socks are so much fun!
I didn't get a chance to register the boys yesterday, so I will do it today and get all their school supplies. Fun, fun! Write later!
