I have been feeling blah lately. I think it's the heat! Anyway, I have been stitching. I finished the tree in the middle of my LH Neighborhood and most of the blue house.
I'm still loving it! I need to get started on "Chocolate Box" because Amy is going to help me with the finishing next weekend when I go stitching at her house. I'm so looking forward to it! I need to get out! :) Write later!
I've been worried about you! :)
ReplyDeleteYour piece is looking gorgeous, sans wrinkles, heh. And you are absolutely going to LOVE doing the no-sew cube finish on Chocolate Box. It's actually a very easy finishing technique following Hannah's directions. You're going to love it and want to do everything that way. (slight exaggeration, but you will love it!)
Hope you're feeling a bit brighter.
Sorry you've been feeling blah. Heat does that to me, too. Your stitching looks lovely, as always!
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence - I was just thinking today that I hadn't seen a post from you for a while! I can sympathise with the heat-related blahs, as I've been there myself recently. Your neighbourhood is looking great!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're doing better. The heat can take quite a toll on a person.
ReplyDeleteThe neighborhood is looking great! Always such lovely stitching.

ReplyDeleteYou're going great on Neighborhood, it's looking lovely. Hope you recover from feeling blah quickly. Weather can do strange things to us at times.
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to have a friend to help you with finishing techniques - think I need someone like that! My little project for you is going slow, and how I will finish it is another thing. Please be patient:)
Neighborhood is looking great.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing your Chocolate Box finish.
Your stitching looks lovely, this is such a beautiful piece! Oh I don't like the heat either, fortunately we don't see if often in this corner of the world :)

ReplyDeleteYour stitching is coming along beautifully! Sorry you haven't been feeling the best! This heat really has been awful!
ReplyDeleteWow! It's beautiful, and, you probably have it all finished by now!
ReplyDeleteHope your blahs are gone! I'm staying inside as much as possible. I'm not a fan of August! It's just tooo steamy! Are you coming to FL in September? Would love to see you and could coordinate Sunday Stitching around your visit? And,,, maybe you can show us how to finish the cube too!
Happy stitching!
xoxo

I love your Neighborhood piece so far! It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that I love reading your blog and looking at all the lovely photos.
I've got a question for you. What resolution do you use on your camera to get such great photos of your close-ups? I'm using a basic Pentax Optio digital camera...LOL and I don't know what pixels I should be using to get a good photo :(
Hope you are having a great weekend!
It's gorgeous, Nicole. You're almost finished! If I didn't sign up for so many exchanges, I might be making better progress on mine.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with "chocolate box"!
Gorgeous work as usual. That design keeps calling to me. Maybe it will make it on my "to do" list.
