Matthew woke up so early today (around 5 am). I'm not sure why he would do that?? Anyway, I couldn't go back to sleep, mainly because he didn't go back to sleep until just now. So I decided to take some pictures....
I couldn't resist putting in a few stitches in my new canvas work piece! I love it, but I thought I'd better finish my other one before starting a new one...
I just have one more outside border to complete and I'll be done with this one. The colors are definitely funky, and not something I'd normally choose, but they're fun to work with.
I also got my "icing-like" trims yesterday. I couldn't decide between white or cream though. I'll bring both and make Amy decide! :) Here's the cream....
And here's the white...
I think I may be leaning towards the white because it is "icing-like." It matches the beads and there's more of a contrast. I'm sure Amy will know. :) Write later!
can't wait to see the progress on the canvas piece. It is going to be so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the chocolates & can't wait to see which you chose to finish it. Both are awesome!!!
Love the chocolates! The white trim is more of a contrast but I tend to prefer the cream.
ReplyDeleteYour canvas pieces are turning out great. Can't wait to see the chocolate piece. Sorry can't help choose they both have their pluses.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say cream first of all because I think they tone well but the white does pop and look more like icing - difficult decision!
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in your canvaswork piece, it looks great!
I love the chocolate piece and also think the cream looks best....But, then it may look different IRL
ReplyDeleteYour canvas work is beautiful. I prefer the cream trim because it give the piece an antique look. Give Amy a big hello.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so well on your canvas work, you must be loving it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the cream for trimmings. As soon as I saw the photo I thought great choice. Then I scrolled down and saw the white - I can see what you mean by icing like. Perhaps let Amy choose, it may be easier seeing it in person. Good luck!
You have been busy. :) Love the canvas work pieces. The chocolate piece is great, I too would go for cream but I can see what you mean about the white beads and the icing effect.
ReplyDeleteYour lightening speed finishes always amaze me. Can't wait to see the finished chocolate box!
ReplyDeleteI started a couple of canvaswork pieces a few years ago -- I should really dig them out and give it a go again!
I love the canvas work and the colors. I would really love how to do that and you are doing an amazing job. The white trim looks awesome with the chocolate

Mmmm... both sets of trims look lovely - I'd probably go for the creams myself, but would love to see the effect with the whites.
