Remember how I said I just wanted to buy more and more canvas work designs, but I could not because I had to stick to my budget? Well, my clicky finger did not listen to my brain. It had a mind of it's own! My justification was that I have birthday coming up. Actually it's still about 1 1/2 months away. The first one I got was "Rambling Rose" by Laura J. Perin. I did not come up with these colors on my own. I have ashamedly copied Coni's sister Chrissy. I fell in love with the colors she used for this design! They are so pretty!
The next one is "Summer Days" also by Laura J. Perin. The colors are the original colors used in the design.
I have been stitching some too. I got a little bit more stitched on my "Seasons of Change Row."
And I got a little bit more stitched on my Madeira Tin Project.
Very pretty wips and stash! That yellow and blue makes me think of Vonna, I think those are some of her favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteWho says you can't celebrate your birthday for 2 months?
Start celebrating your birthday now and you can carry on for 2 months afterwards!
ReplyDeleteLovely WIPs.

ReplyDeleteGreat stash, love the colors. Happy Early Birthday !
ReplyDeleteBirthday gifts to self do not count. I'm pretty sure that's the law.

Love your WIPs, great work!
ReplyDeleteWhen you said that you had a birthday coming up, I thought to myself - "wait a minute - her birthday's around the same time as mine, and I don't have a birthday coming up!"
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new stash!

Lovely stash! nice WIP
ReplyDeleteYou're right, those are beautiful colors! I don't think I could do this type of stitching though, it looks very intricate! Guess I'll stick to plain cross-stitch (at least for now!)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blog so much.

Knew you would catch the needlepoint fever. GB
ReplyDeleteI am VERY flattered that you want to copy the colors I used for Rambling Rose. If you want I can give you the list of threads I used, basically I used DMC#5 Perle, Watercolours Cherry Cordial and Rainbow Gallery Flair, Coni's favorite metallic, ha ha. Anyway, if you are interested, my email is crys412@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteHave fun stitching and hope you have as much fun stitching Rambling Rose as I did!
I just love your new stash Nicole! Very pretty for sure! You have made some really great stitching progress. I am so glad that I can finally get back to some regular stitching! Without my light I am helpless here!! I need to order some ribbon and 1 pearl cotten thread for my Starry Nights still and then I will be ready, but first I am going to finish my Amish Trip Around the World.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Rambling Rose and Summer Days. Like the colors for your Rambling Rose. Will be very pretty.
