I got back from stitching at Amy's a couple hours ago. I had a ton of fun. The time always just flies by when I'm there. I didn't get much stitching done, but I did get a ton of shopping done in her Down Sunshine Lane room. I got a few of the Nashville new releases along with some threads I was needing and a fat 1/2 of 40 ct. Antique White Newcastle linen for Mouline Rouge (scroll down). After I finish 500 other things I would love to stitch it one day!
Here's my progress pic of "With My Needle" from yesterday. Not a ton of progress, but I did get more of her dress stitched.

Simply Live Progress
I worked on Simply Live yesterday and a little bit this morning. I think I may be able to get it finished next week. I'm happy with the blue now. I'm not going to do anymore ripping! :)
Today is "With My Needle" day. I'll be working some more on the girls dress. I did stitch a little on it a couple weeks ago - didn't take a pic. I'm about halfway done with the brown in the middle.
Tomorrow I'm going to Amy's to stitch. I'm so looking forward to it! I need a day away from these crazy kids! :) Write soon!
P.S. I started a ByGone Stitches SAL blog for those that want to stitch along on Quaker Virtues or Quaker Christmas.

Quaker Virtues SAL
I got out QV yesterday and worked on it some. I put it away though because I'm just not sure about the colors.
I got out Quaker Christmas and worked on that some because I know I love these colors...
My problem is not seeing it completely stitched in the colors I picked out. I'm such a copier that I usually go with colors that is recommended by the designer or that I have seen someone else use, which is what I did with Quaker Christmas. I copied Merumo's colors. Anyway, I may just work on Quaker Christmas for the SAL (hope that's ok girls) and try to get it finished up and think about Quaker Virtues later. That's so Scarlet O'Hara of me I know! She was the queen of justification and worrying about it another day! :) Write soon!

Titania Tuesday
I'm really surprised at how much I am enjoying stitching this one again. I thought I would dread stitching it because I had considered it finished years ago, but I'm not at all. It's a nice change to stitch on 32 ct. after all the 36 and 40 ct. And there are fairly big blocks of color and I'm even enjoying stitching with the metallics. Here's the progress I made yesterday....
Today starts the Quaker Virtues SAL with Amy, Vonna and Terry. I'm really looking forward to stitching this one! Write soon! :)
32 ct. Antique Blue Joblean, DMC (2 over 2) and Krienik Metallic threads (1 over 2).

Getting Back on Track!
I worked on LHN "In the Beginning" yesterday. It such a sweet design! I'm supposed to work on Kind Fond Love today, but I really don't want to put this one down. So I may skip KFL this week. :)
Well, now that I'm better I also have a lot of cleaning to do! The dishes are piled high! Write later! :)

Finally!
I'm starting to feel better. I am not as tired as I was. I took a dear friend's advice and went out and got some vitamins! They seem to be helping. Well, since I started working on VoHRH the other day I was determined to at least finish that block. It seemed to take forever, but it's done! I pulled the threads for block 11 (I'm going backwards). They are so pretty! I'd like to get that block finished in March. So I'll put this away for awhile and try to get back to my rotation.

Mindless Stitching
I finally got up some energy to stitch yesterday. I thought I would just stitch on something that didn't require a lot of thought. I got VoHRH out (I haven't stitched on it since June 2007!) and filled in some of the mind-numbing black background.
Not too exciting, but at least I stitched! :) I feel more tired today than I did yesterday though, so no stitching yet today. I wish I could just feel normal again! Hopefully it won't be too much longer! Write soon!

Very Bad!
I'm still here. Slowly recovering. Even though I'm not stitching I can still share some stash I got in the mail recently! I couldn't resist getting the two new Lakeside Linen colors - Vintage Homespun and Vintage Buttercream.
I have also recently fallen in love with the Handwork pattern "Frances Eden." I ended up ordering it and Vikki Clayton's silks to go with it. Here they are on the Buttercream (which is a better pic of the actual color by the way).
Well, it's back to laying on the couch for me! Hopefully I'll have some stitching to share one of these days! Write soon!

Back Home
We made it back home last night from Florida. I'm still feeling very weak from the flu though. The last time I remember feeling like this was when I had my kids! I don't know when I'll feel up to stitching again. I keep hoping I'll wake up energized, but it just hasn't happened yet. Hopefully, it will be soon! I hate feeling like this. Well, enough whining! Write soon!

Remind Me to Get that Flu Shot!!
I'm in Florida, but I have the flu! I thought I was just getting a cold, but it turned out to be much worse! Thankfully, my mom took the kids right when we got here. I've been in bed for two days. I tried to venture to the cross stitch store today, but I didn't last too long. I got a chart and a couple other things, but had to get dh out of the car to pay for them. I thought I was going to pass out! Hopefully, I'll be back to normal soon!
P.S. The chart I got was Morning Bird by Plum Street Samplers.

Simply Live
I think we are going to head down to Florida tonight or tomorrow for a four day weekend. So I thought I would get a head start on today's stitching last night. After I finished all the leaves on Titania I decided to get out "Simply Live." I worked on it way too late (I'm paying for that today)!

I stitched a little bit more on Kind Fond Love (no frogs) and then the mail came! I couldn't resist starting this new LHN pattern "In the Beginning." I thought I would stitch it on Sundays because I don't have anything to stitch on Sea to Shining Sea right now.
I'm stitching it on 36 ct. Flax Edinburgh using the recommended DMC threads (1 over 2). I plan to get back to Titania today. I'd like to get some more leaves stitched and then after that it will be on to the wings (lots of metallics - fun!). Write later! :)

Kind Fond Love (Not)!
I would have made more progress on KFL, but I can't count and I can't read chart symbols. I did a lot of ripping yesterday. Oh well, thankfully I'm back on track now Here's my latest progress pic...
I think I'm going to work on this today and Titania tomorrow since I haven't started the Quaker Virtues SAL with Amy and Vonna yet. I would like to try to get the section with the people finished before I move on to something else. Wish me luck! I don't want to frog anymore today! Write soon! :)

Stitching and Framing
I finished the border on Sea to Shining Sea yesterday. Now I just have to wait for the last block to come out and I will be done!
I also framed "Queen Bee" this morning. I've had it just sitting in the frame for a couple months and I finally got around to lacing it around the foam core. I usually use pins, but thought I would try lacing this one since it's small. I painted the frame a dark charcoal gray a while back. I think it turned out pretty cute.
Well, today is "Kind Fond Love Sampler" day. I'm doing pretty well on my rotation so far. Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it! :) Write soon!

HoHRH Progress
I worked on "Houses of Hawk Run Hollow" last night until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
The colors are so bright in this block, it took a little getting used to! Well, today I'm going to work on Sea to Shining Sea. I would love to get the top border finished up and then I'll be ready for the next block when it comes out this month. Write later! :)

With My Needle Progress
Wow, thank you everyone for your encouragement on my rotation and my wip basket! I'm so glad you all like the idea! :) Well, I did work on "With My Needle" as scheduled yesterday. I got a lot of the girl's dress stitched. I'm happy with the progress I made.
40 ct. Light Examplar by Lakeside Linens with DMC Threads (1 over 2).
Sarah Ann Wilcox chart and a book about Charleston Samplers. The original of the sampler pattern I got is on the cover of the book. When I got home I also had some mail waiting for me. I fell in love with these two samplers after seeing them in Tanya's (The Scarlett House) album.

My six year old, Jake, and I went to The Charleston Museum today. I only live about 15 miles from Charleston, but most of the time it seems a world away. I don't get out enough! Anyway, I decided to get out today and there was a bonus to the trip! The museum store sells reproduction sampler patterns! :) This is what I got...

Rotation - Day One
I worked on "Simply Live" last night, which I listed to stitch on Thursdays. I got all of the alphabet on the bottom finished! I'm very happy with that because next week I can start on the motifs.
I don't want to jinx myself, but I think this rotation is going to work for me! I got my wips and put them in basket. I then found some tags and labeled each project bag with the project name and day to stitch them. I put them in the basket in order of the days.
Stitched on 40 ct. Pearled Barley by Lakeside Linens using Valdani, GAST and WDW threads.
