I'm still here. Slowly recovering. Even though I'm not stitching I can still share some stash I got in the mail recently! I couldn't resist getting the two new Lakeside Linen colors - Vintage Homespun and Vintage Buttercream.
I have also recently fallen in love with the Handwork pattern "Frances Eden." I ended up ordering it and Vikki Clayton's silks to go with it. Here they are on the Buttercream (which is a better pic of the actual color by the way).
Well, it's back to laying on the couch for me! Hopefully I'll have some stitching to share one of these days! Write soon!
Hi Nicole
ReplyDeleteYour blog was one of the first ones I visited when I entered blog land last July, I loved it then and I still think your blog is great. You do such beautiful stitching!
You purchased two great pieces of linen. And the new project goes perfectly with the Buttercream. Playing with your stash will help you to be well very soon.
ReplyDeleteTake a break and get well soon! Love Ya!
ReplyDeleteLove both new linens!
ReplyDeleteNicole,
ReplyDeleteI love the linens and the floss on that buttercream, very pretty.
Hope you are up and back to your self VERY soon.

That is some fabulous new linen. The buttercream is beautiful and really goes well with the new project.
ReplyDeleteHope the stash brightened your day. Lie down, wrap up warm and take it easy.
ReplyDeleteSee what I mean? Oh, those linens are just gorgeous. Yours is the blog that I most rely on for linen inspiration! I do hope that you are feeling better very soon, but in the meantime, stay on the couch with a cup of somthing lovely and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern and what pretty fabrics! I hope you feel better soon! It's not fun being sick!
ReplyDeleteI just love that pattern and great fabrics as well! Hope you get to feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, what gorgeous linens!! Nice marbling on them, too. Thanks for the pics--helps to see what they look like rather than looking at a teeny little swatch. Enjoy Frances Eden--she is a fun stitch! Funky & fun colors. Hope you're feeling better soon & back to stitching up a storm.
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole!
ReplyDeleteI hope by now you're feeling better! I love your new fabrics - the colors are fantastic. Good luck with Frances Eden - it's a beautiful sampler and I'll enjoy watching your progress.
Peace,
Terri
Nicole, double yuck on still being sick. Hope you are feeling much better soon!
ReplyDeleteI have Frances Eden and the Vikki Clayton silks to stitch it :-). It's a gorgeous piece.
You are a dangerous, dangerous woman...you keep introducing me to things I don't need to spend money on!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to peek at the Handwork Sampler online catalog now...
And I might have to invest in that Lakeside...that buttercream is luscious...and perfect for another project I want to kit up.
Great new stash!
ReplyDeleteGet well Nicole:)
I am so glad that you showed the linen. I've been wondering about the new colors. I think you just enabled me AGAIN! Oh...great sampler, too!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Nicole! I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabrics and silks. I love VCS! I'm currently using that on a Long Dog Sampler that is probably 65% complete. It's a BIG one.
ReplyDeleteI hope you start feeling your "Nicole" self. I'm missin' ya!
