I worked on "This is the Day" this weekend. I spent most of my time trying to figure out a mistake I made. I was off by one stitch and it was driving me nuts!! I finally figured it out, but since it's hard to describe I drew a diagram.
I forgot that I did make one other change in the colors of this design. I switched around Red Currant and Wild Berries. Well, it's such a beautiful day today I'm going to try to get out and take Matthew to the park. it's still a little cool yet, but maybe after his nap. Write later! :)
Looking good, Nicole! Thanks again for finding that counting mistake -- I know it was a pain for you though....
ReplyDeleteThis is looking good Nicole. I'm glad you found your mistake. I love the colors of this and your fabric also. You've got me so interested about the dying of the fabric that I'm going to try some myself.
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done on this and it is really beautiful! I can't see a mistake. I looked at your diagram though. You either fixed it or it just isn't noticeable. Very pretty! I love the colors you are using too!!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate when everything is perfectly symmetrical and then all of a sudden they throw in an extra stitch or two! :) Hate that! Glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteWow that missing stitch would be a hard one to catch! Glad you got it figured out! You stitch so fast!
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your color choices. You led me to Jan's blog, which is a fun read, and now I've ordered JCC magazine and the colors for the project. You're a terrible influence! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous, Nicole! I don't think the diagram link is working properly - at least for me it didn't. :(
ReplyDeleteYour stitching looks great. I'm new to your blog and just wanted to post a comment and say hello.
ReplyDeleteYour needle continues to smoke.... Lovely work. Really enjoy your blog. Happy Day!!
ReplyDeleteI made that same mistake when I stitched that portion. It is a pain to figure out because it is definately not obvious. I love your color choices on this. :)
ReplyDeleteThat would have been a hard error to find. It's looking very nice.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are going to town with this, Nicole. You know I didn't see that count difference, going to have to check mine, cuz I certainly haven't gotten all of the border stitched. These colors look heavenly with your dyed fabric!:)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great start! I am looking forward to watching this one grow and come to life! Hope you have a great time at the park today!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a lovely job on this, and thanks for pointing that out! I want to stitch it some day and that would have driven me crazy :D
ReplyDeleteNice start. I'm glad you've found the mistake, it would of driven me nuts if that happened to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty stitch it is turning out to be, yes? I started mine yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteLooking gorgeous already, Nicole :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the fabric/thread choices - they so look so nice. You've gotten a lot done on it and your work is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThanks for doing the diagram, Nicole! I will be starting this one soon so appreciate that very much. Your stitching is looking lovely. Between yours and Jan's conversion, I've started playing with colours too. Will see what I end up with!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the offer and I've emailed you back!
This is gorgeous!!!! I can't see the mistake..... Did you fix it? You are so patient, I would just let it go since it is not noticable....
ReplyDeleteI love the changes you have made. I glad you pointed out the extra stitch and you found your mistake. I know it is very frustrating trying to figure out where the problem is. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the Twilight series - very addictive.

ReplyDeletevery fast progress is being made on this one - its looking good.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fab, Nicole! I'm glad to hear that you found your mistake and that you moved past it. I hate it when you know there's a mistake but you can't find it. The colors look great!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I had a hard time finding the mistake, too. But once you know it's there, it'll drive you nuts until you get it fixed. lol Been there, done that.
ReplyDeletethat looks great! I know how it is when your trying to find the right count. I have one from The Scarlett Letter WIP and half-way throught the border and when I'm doing to the last row I'm praying they meet with the right count......
ReplyDeleteYou really are talented....very nice!
