I worked on LHN "Starr of Mine" earlier in the week. But there's so much grass I had to put it away for a bit.
I then decided to join Amy's SAL for My Lady's Quaker the other day. At first I was going to use one of these combination's of Belle Soie...
And then I decided to use Cotton Threads to match Monique's version....
And finally I decided to go with Needlepoint Inc. Silk. I'm very happy with my choice (I used NPI 223, 222, 706, 344, 923 and 903). I'm a little concerned about the light peach for the skin. I wondering if it's a little too light??
I have also been working on "Finch Song." I would love to get it finished soon!
Nicole, you crack me up I thought I was the most indesisive person around LOL
ReplyDeleteI think your final choice for the Quaker SAL looks great. What color choice are you using on your MW design?

Whoa, and I thought I was the only one that went back and forth on a project. I love your WIPs and I don't think that the peach color is too light. I can see it perfectly on my monitor. That is a great SAL to be in - the design is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Nicole. The photos of your two older boys in the previous post looks so cute. The boy on the left with 'the look' is that more you or your DH's? I just had to smile when I saw that.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm looking forward to all the stitching progress, even your eenie-meenie-miney-mo! :-)
everything looks great as usual! I love your eye for color! You do such an amazing job of changing the colors in your projects. Finch song is beautiful!!! Keep plugging away & it will be done!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, can I just say I love everything? Seriously, each choice you made for the Quaker was perfect. I don't know how you decided on which one to do! I think the color for the flesh looks good. Finch Song--beautiful! I don't know how much is left on it but it looks great. I also covet your linen. LOL Love the blotchiness! Great stitching--can't see what next week brings for you!

ReplyDeleteIt really makes me happy to see all of your different stitches with your different types of threads. I've still never used silk (I can't afford it right now), so it's wonderful to live vicariously through your beautiful work! :)
All your needlework's such great eye candy, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteYour Finch Song is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how much your stitching blog inspires me. I want to do the Quaker SAL in all three colorways after seeing your test stitching!
