40 ct. Maple Sugar, recommended GAST (1 over 2).
I work on this when I'm waiting for my kids to get out school. It's a great car project. Hopefully it won't take me too much longer to finish. :)
I also got a start on CaHRH Block 5 yesterday. I'm loving this block so far!
I just love this peacock!
To steal Glenna's line again... I decided to "sample another sampler." This one is The Drawn Thread's "Toccata Number Five." It's a pattern darning sampler. I got a few motifs stitched. It's a little time consuming, so I've been stitching a little on CaHRH and then I do motif and then stitch a little more on CaHRH. It's a lot of fun, even if it does seem to take me forever!
32 ct. Coffee-Dyed Cream Belfast Linen, NPI silks.
Well, that's all my progress I have to share for today. Tomorrow I'm going to Amy's to go shopping at a couple quilt stores, have lunch and possibly get some stitching in before I head home. I'm so looking forward to it. I need a day out! Write soon!
Love the Jenny Bean. You are rolling on the Hawk's Run!
ReplyDeleteHope you and Amy have fun tomorrow...looks like the weather may be rainy/icy here.
Stop torturing me, Nicole! lol! Oh I just love your Jenny Bean xmas!! And of course your CaHRH is gorgeous -- you're right, that peacock is really neat. And the Toccata 5 -- that's another one I want to stitch! Too many projects, not enough time! Gorgeous WIPs all!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful WIP - I can't wait to do some stitching tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat peacock is just beautiful.
Jenny Bean looks wonderful, your CaHRH looks fabulous and I love your new WIP. I'm very fond of darning samplers and I think I need to start thinking about starting one myself. You do inspire me Nicole!
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at Jenny Bean...love it! Hope you have fun quilt shopping with Amy!
ReplyDeleteeverything is always so motivating and inspiring
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing
Delightful!!! I love your blog so much; everything looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI really love that vibrant jewel tone in the peacock! Lovely! I also like seeing the JB; I've got the chart and fibers, but I STILL don't have any linen for it!! This makes 3 projects I really need linen for. :D
ReplyDeleteAre you interested in HRH's Autumn piece which is upcoming?
Love the JB Christmas and as always CaHRH looks great. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow! Everything looks gorgeous. Love Jenny Bean. Have a good day out.
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe at how much you get stitched Nicole! Jenny Bean is looking wonderful as is CaHRH. I really love your start on T5 too, the threads look wonderful on that linen!
ReplyDeleteFabulous WIPs, Nicole! I love the JB and CaHRH is stunning. The block you're working on now is my favorite just because I LOVE feather trees.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with Amy - I hope you buy lots of goodies to show us!
Nicole - your WIPs look fantastic as always. You're making such great progress on CaHRH - all the blocks look so wonderful I don't even know which is my favorite. And Jenny Bean looks wonderful too. And I know what you mean about those DT pieces - they take some time, but the results are definitely worth it.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with Amy!! Wish I were there with you guys..we are socked in with ice and snow up here in NC>. I cant stand it!!! Good news is: Stitch time Sat ADN Sun!~ Love your progresses...As usual, I want to be YOU when I grow up!~ Be safe, Faye
ReplyDeleteAll your projects are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow -- Your Jenny Bean looks wonderful as well as CaHRH. I love Toccata 5 too!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly inspire me to start all 3 of those projects.
Have a great weekend!
Jenny Bean is too cute! And you don't too much more on it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are enjoying CaHRH. One of my favorite things about the design are the peacocks, and the one is block is very cool. I love to stitch crowns, too.
Sounds like you have a fun weekendf planned.
Lovely progress on your pieces! I loved stitching Jenny! Did you see the new one that will be out soon? Georgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour pieces look amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on those pieces. Love the Christmas sampler one.
ReplyDeleteLove all your projects--is the darning sampler over one? Normally I wouldn't give it a second look in a store, but now that I've seen it stitched by you, I think it's enchanting--I want to stitch that as well. What a great idea to have a "car sampler." I was thinking about a JBW Designs book I bought that has a sampler with little cars in it. You should stitch it, and then you'd have a car sampler car sampler. (Well, although there are little trucks and a train too.)
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole,
ReplyDeleteJenny Bean looks great! You are very close to having it finished. Don't you just love the colors on it? I thought it was a lot of fun to stitch. CaHRH is gorgeous as always. The model photo doesn't do it justice. I am noticing things as you stitch that I have not paid attention to before...like that peacock. He's so cute. Looking forward to seeing more of your progress on Toccata. Hope you had fun today!
Have a good rest of the weekend!
Jenny Bean looks great!! I just can't believe how much you get done with three young boys. You are my hero. Great start on the DT, too!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is just incredible Nicole!!
ReplyDeleteLove everything you post!!
Take care
Marion
everything is wonderful that you are stitching on but I really love the Christmas sampler.
ReplyDeleteYou do such beautiful work. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing Toccata Number Five when you're done.
Stephanie
Love your new start. And Jenny Bean is looking fabulous - I really need to start that one!! You're always so dangerous for me to visit, I get too much inspiration. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAll your WIPs are really gorgeous - you're up to my favourite block on CAHRH, just love those colours!
ReplyDeleteGreat going, Nicole! Jenny Bean is lovely, and as I'm doing CaHRH and T5 too it's great to see them being worked on by someone else - I started T5 with the alphabet, want to get it out of the way.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love, love, love that Jenny Bean Christmas Sampler! And your CHRH is stunning, Nicole!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll your stitching is so fabulous as always! Love the progress on CoHRH!
ReplyDeleteI was going to write a comment, but I just don't know what to say that I haven't already said about 583 times before.
ReplyDeleteOne thing, though: Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow is my favourite of all HRHs (haven't seen the Autumn one yet) and you're doing such an excellent job. Really. It makes me weep.
Well that's some bit of amazing progress across the board...all is lovely and more gorgeous than the first... :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your pieces, Jenny Bean is so pretty. The colors are wonderful. CaHRH is really coming along too.
ReplyDeleteDT's toccata pieces are wonderful, challenging but so much fun.
