I have decided to make the colors a little more muted. Here are the changes I've made...
CC Caterpillar - Same
CC House Wine - CC Wild Berries
CC Morning Glory - CC Milady's Teal
CC Ye Olde Gold - Same
WDW Moss - CC Pea Pod
DMC White - GAST Oatmeal
DMC 3348 - WDW Dove
I also have GAST Avocado and Clover that I may use here and there.
I realized that I messed up on block 11 of SoHRH - I was stitching the water green instead of blue! Oops! :)
So I'll be doing some frogging later. I just got a package in the mail from Lisa (The Primitive Needle). So if you don't hear from me for a little bit it's because I'm working on a model (to be released this fall). The colors are beautiful - it's a great design. I can't wait for you all to see it!
I love the soft colours you choose for Lizzy Kate.
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't have to frog many HRH stitches.
Shoot - are you sure there wasn't kelp in that water? That's a lot of frogging!
ReplyDeleteI like your new pallet (sp) of the lizzie Kate!

I love the new colors you have chosen too for Lizzie Kate. I hate frogging but sometimes it is worth doing and there really isn't that much there so hopefully it will go fast. I need to stitch. I am so stressed lately and stitching really seems to help!! Love your progress on Shores of Hawk Run Hollow too! Can't wait to see the model you are doing!
ReplyDeleteI did the design useing what came with it. You have picked lovely alternatives.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you chose for your Lizzie Kate. Bummer on using the wrong color on Shores. Ah well, hopefully not toooo much to rip?
ReplyDeleteLove your colors!!! I was thinking of changing them a bit too. I like more subdued shades.
ReplyDeleteDarn it about the green! I can't wait to see Lisa's model--you two are a winning team--great designs and great stitcher.
ReplyDeleteI really like the muted tones you are substituting. This looks like such a fun stitch!
ReplyDeleteBoo to the frog. At least you caught it early!
I think the water looks great. Adds to the vintage charm of the piece - LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching - sorry about the frogging!
ReplyDeleteOh which magnificent embroidery, I like very much the boat,
ReplyDeleteBest regards marylin
That's more than enough to show, Nicole. What a great start! I love your colour changes, much better than the original. Muted colours are a favourtie of mine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame on that water. I know, I know, you're not going to be able to live with it. Pity the green didn't have a bit more of a blue hue to it, you may have gotten away with it.
Another model to stitch! How exciting!! Can't wait to see the finished product!!!
I like green water--lol! :D Nice plans for the LK, and looking forward to seeing that Prim Needle!
ReplyDeleteIt's always exciting to get to a new project with such yummy colors of threads, isn't it? I'm now tempted for something cute like your new start.
