I made a little slip case using the quilt top I was making awhile back (I knew I'd never finish that quilt!!).
Ok, now that the gadget saga is officially over, I have some stitching to share. I got a little bit more stitched on Shores. I finished the dolphin and worked on the boat a little bit yesterday...
I also decided to start Ann Smith yesterday. I only got a tiny bit done. There is a lot of over one in this design. I decided to do tent stitch to make it go a little faster. Hopefully it will look ok!!
Well, we're in for a rainy day today. Perfect stitching and reading weather. I love fall! Write soon! :)

Nicole, you are absolutely hilarious with the gadget saga (does your husband think you're hilarious also?) I'm using tent stitch on things like the clouds, but I'm doing full cross on the over-one words for Ann Smith. Now I'm going to want to pick mine back up so you're a good influence (other than on gadgets).
ReplyDeleteOh man! The saga (hopefully) ends! Glad you found a device that works for you.
ReplyDeleteYour stitching looks wonderful.
Girl, you are all kinds of crazy! But in a good way. :) The saga is only over till a new gadget is released... when is Christmas?!? ;) Just teasing you! I love the cover you made. Great job on your stitching! I like your new start.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Glad you finally settled on your gadget!!!! I love the case!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole,
ReplyDeleteGlad you're all settled with the Kindle. I love the case and the colors! Ironically, we just bought a K3 for my son's 22nd birthday. I'm curious to see what he thinks. I've heard great things about them.
Shores is coming along beautifully. I agree with the tent stitch but I don't mind over one...but I'm also a 40 ct. fan :)
Lol I'm gonna have to agree with you that you have indeed lost it!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I can really see how the white would be an easier-on-the-eyes choice than the graphite. :) Good use of that quilt; I remember that guy!
Yup, you've lost it. lol! Glad you're finally happy though! Love the slip case you made for your new toy. And love your SoHRH and Ann Smith. Ann Smith is a must stitch for me!
ReplyDeleteYou are too much! I will agree that you have lost it! ha!
ReplyDeleteDear Gadget Girl ... I love to read about your gadget saga - I will be checking out the iPad at the Apple store in Miami. I will also check out the Kindle too as I am still undecided. Love the quilted case!

Hi! Wow you've had quite a saga with your kindles!! Glad you are happy with your newest one! I have one too (although I don't even know which version) and I just love it!! The cover you made for yours is great! Your stitching is looking beautiful as always. Meredith
ReplyDeleteGlad that you finally found the Kindle of your dreams. I got a smile on my face everytime I read about the Kindle saga.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to experience a Kindle. I keep thinking that I'll miss the feel of books and my eyes go nuts if I'm on a computer too long, so didn't know how one of those would work out. Glad that you're happy with the 3.
ReplyDeleteShores is looking great, as usual, and love your new start. I have wanted to do that one for a long time, but didn't know there was a lot of over one. Maybe, I'll just have envy watching you stitch yours.
You are too funny!
ReplyDeleteYour Shores is just gorgeous Nicole, OMG, drool worthy!
And Ann Smith, how lovely, love that sampler and can't wait to see you stitch her up!
Nicole - You have not lost it - you just had to find your way to the one that said -"this is it"!!! Hope this makes you feel better - I bought the Kindle 3 Graphite at Target. Then looked at it and said I really really like the white one and will not be happy so I returned that one and ordered the white one from Amazon - due to arrive tomorrow!!! I know I will be happy. You had me looking for a White Kindle 2 though on ebay before I made up my mind!!!!! Does that mean I have lost it too???? LOL!!! Love your case - it is beautiful!!! Bev in Sav.
ReplyDeleteAll I can do is laugh....Gadget!
ReplyDeleteOh I laughed at the gadget saga! I'm glad you're finally (?) got the Kindle you want!
ReplyDeleteShores is lovely, and now I will enjoy seeing your progress on Ann as well!
OK, after reading your gadget saga, I'm now interested in a Kindle! I put one on my wish list at Amazon while I still ponder it all...but I'm really leaning toward wanting one. I've got several books on my wish list as well...what better reason to get a Kindle now...or at least before I add those books to my library...
ReplyDeleteYou're an enabler! ;-)
Glad you found the Kindle that's just right for you. The quilted slipcover you made for it is perfect with its coffee theme - coffee and books are a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI love the clear bright colors of Ann Smith. It will pretty when you are finished/.
I love your Kindle cover - good use of the unfinished quilt! Thanks for sharing; you may have helped me choose my own gadget one of these days!
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny about your gadgets. Glad you're happy now though. Shores is looking fabulous and I love Ann Smith!
ReplyDeleteThanks for answering my gadget questions. I'm glad you are happy with the Kindle3. I ordered one for my sister but have not heard how she likes it. I haen't ordered one for myself yet - still contemplating it.
ReplyDeleteSoHRH is going GREAT!
Happy Stitching!
