I got off count on my Holly and Ivy Sampler, so I set it aside for now. I hate it when I do that! You'd think after so many years of stitching that I could count by now!
I finished my ornament for the exchange. I think it turned out pretty cute. I'll post a pic on Saturday or Sunday.
So, I have nothing to share right now - just had to vent! Write soon - with pics! :)

I know exactly what you mean! Miscounting is frustrating.
ReplyDeleteYour Belle Pepper finish is very cute!
Ack! I know the feeling! I just went through tons of frogging myself! My sympathies.....
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel I often say I can't count five crosses without making a mistake but your stitching is always soooo gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. It seems that I find myself checking and rechecking all the time now because I'm making more mistakes than ever. I blame my eyes not my math skills:)

Oh good I am not the only one that happens to.,,sorry for your frustration,,cant wait to see pictures of your ornaments..have a great weekend..
ReplyDeleteI have been stitching since the early 80's and I don't think it matters how long you have been stitching to have that happen. All of us end up frogging at some point and you are a really good stitcher. I got off by one thread on Jerry's hatband yesterday as I was doing some finishing on it and had to frog so you are in lots of good company. Don't get discouraged. Your stitching is really awesome!!
ReplyDeleteTimes like that are awfully frustrating! I hope that you're next go around with it comes out perfect. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's always frustrating to me too. I haven't been stitching all that long and it happens way too much.
ReplyDeleteI finally found a little stitching time earlier this week, . . . only to have to tear out all my progress because I didn't put the motif in the right place. And it was over one.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone in your frustration! And yet, we all keep coming back for more. Good thing we get it right now and then, too!
I'm sorry to hear about your miscount, Nicole. I feel the same way when this happens to me. It certainly takes the fun out of it. Hope you get the courage to pick it up again soon.
ReplyDeleteYou must've gotten it straightened out since you were stitching on her yesterday, and I didn't hear any bad words... It looked lovely, and the colors ARE awesome! Had a great time, too.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel - I can't count or follow a chart either. Working away on Christmas Peacock Pinkeep - working over 1 - and from an enlarged chart for this from the designer - 3/4 of all feather completed - I realized that I hadn't finished the body of peacock so the placement of all the feathers was off and I have to take all of the stitches OUT! Oh well - such is life!
ReplyDeleteHappy Stitching!
