First I was going through Hawk Run withdrawals, so I got out my Hawk Run patterns and decided on one...
40 ct. Vintage Sand Dune by Lakeside Linens, Needlepoint Inc. Silk (1 over 2)
I picked Village. I just love this design. I started it awhile ago, but was unhappy with the linen (36 ct.). I'm much happier now that I'm using 40 ct. Only ... I really didn't want to stitch that graveyard again, so I'm skipping it for now.
As I was browsing blogs yesterday, I came across Deb's blog. I saw that she started Ann Grant, which I've had kitted before it even came out! I just couldn't resist myself. I had a piece of 40 ct. Summer Khaki that I got at Down Sunshine Lane, so I dyed it with some Tan Rit Dye...
... And got to stitching!
I'm loving it!! This is one huge sampler though! It's going to take awhile! I'm also so tempted to start Susan Rambo, but I'm holding off for a just a bit. Not sure why - I think it's all the grass on the bottom (since I always start at the bottom). If those gorgeous flowers were on the bottom, I'm sure I would have started by now! :)
Well, I'm looking forward to stitching with all my friends in Manning on Saturday. It will be so great to see them. Maybe I'll bring Susan with me and start then. :) Write soon!
I'm glad to see that you started this beauty!! She is a big one, isn't she? But the colors are glorious!! I have one more day to work on her before I flip back to Ann Medd. It's going to be hard to do that.
ReplyDeleteYour Village makes me think that I should pull out mine one of these. I started it so long ago and only have one block done. Sigh! Too many projects and too little time!!
I know the feeling of startitis!!! LOL. Village is one of my favorites, I am glad to have the graveyard done too :) I saw Debs Blog too yesterday and was very inspired to seeing her cruising on her Ann Grant start. It is going to be great fun to see what everyone chooses for their linen choice. Love Sarah Rambo too- isnt that issue great!!!! Great start to both designs and I look forward to more!! Ohhh Ann Grant! Yes, you are a bad girl! lol She is on the top of my list and still awaiting for some of the silks. I felt the same way as seeing Deb's Ann yesterday, then now you! More WIPs are merrier, right?

I have the startitis too. I'm going to call it Spring Fever. I have 3 WIP's to finish, but I've started two projects that had been kitted up for ages. And I'm eyeing others. I'm just going to say that I'm getting ready for the Up for a Challenge 2012!
