Yeah, I've got it bad.
First I was going through Hawk Run withdrawals, so I got out my Hawk Run patterns and decided on one...
I picked Village. I just love this design. I started it awhile ago, but was unhappy with the linen (36 ct.). I'm much happier now that I'm using 40 ct. Only ... I really didn't want to stitch that graveyard again, so I'm skipping it for now.
As I was browsing blogs yesterday, I came across Deb's blog. I saw that she started Ann Grant, which I've had kitted before it even came out! I just couldn't resist myself. I had a piece of 40 ct. Summer Khaki that I got at Down Sunshine Lane, so I dyed it with some Tan Rit Dye...
... And got to stitching!
I'm loving it!! This is one huge sampler though! It's going to take awhile! I'm also so tempted to start Susan Rambo, but I'm holding off for a just a bit. Not sure why - I think it's all the grass on the bottom (since I always start at the bottom). If those gorgeous flowers were on the bottom, I'm sure I would have started by now! :)
Well, I'm looking forward to stitching with all my friends in Manning on Saturday. It will be so great to see them. Maybe I'll bring Susan with me and start then. :) Write soon!
I'm glad to see that you started this beauty!! She is a big one, isn't she? But the colors are glorious!! I have one more day to work on her before I flip back to Ann Medd. It's going to be hard to do that.
ReplyDeleteYour Village makes me think that I should pull out mine one of these. I started it so long ago and only have one block done. Sigh! Too many projects and too little time!!
I know the feeling of startitis!!! LOL. Village is one of my favorites, I am glad to have the graveyard done too :) I saw Debs Blog too yesterday and was very inspired to seeing her cruising on her Ann Grant start. It is going to be great fun to see what everyone chooses for their linen choice. Love Sarah Rambo too- isnt that issue great!!!! Great start to both designs and I look forward to more!! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with a little startitis, lol. Especially when you pick such gorgeous projects. Great starts!
ReplyDeleteWow that's two big projects to start Nicole but I love them both. Ann's colors are just gorgeous aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI saw Debs blog also and the Ann Grant; I believe I have to start looking for this pattern; the colours are amazing. Can't wait to see this finished.
ReplyDeleteHugs,Shar
Yep, I knew it. I shouldn't have looked. FABULOUS new starts!! I just love those colors on Ann. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Nicole! You're stitching Elizabeth Mears, Village, and Ann Grant?!
ReplyDeleteYou go, girl!!
:D
Ohhh Ann Grant! Yes, you are a bad girl! lol She is on the top of my list and still awaiting for some of the silks. I felt the same way as seeing Deb's Ann yesterday, then now you! More WIPs are merrier, right?
ReplyDeleteLove the Ann Grant start! The colors are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love Ann Grant!! The colors are just amazing. And Village too, huh? Good for you for starting over -- I did that with Houses of HRH.
ReplyDeleteNice choices, Nicole! Um--what grass on the bottom? Yikes. There's grass on the bottom? LOL--I always start from the top.
ReplyDeleteLove Ann Grant! You go girl on all your starts...:)
ReplyDeleteOh Nicole, Ann Grant is going to be so fabulous on that fabric!! You did a great job on the color...the threads just glow on it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to watch your progress on her. And the Village as well :)
xoxo
Beautiful new start Nicole! I'm sure you'll have fun stitching both!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Ann Grant beautiful. I started mine last week and I am enjoying working on her. Susan Rambo is also in my basket. Actually I started Susan first but Ann won me over.
ReplyDeleteThe Village is another lovely piece to work on and I love your Elizabeth Mears.
You're going to have all of these HRH pieces done before I even get my Shores finished. LOL! I bet you'll be happier on the 40ct though. And you start of Ann Grant is gorgeous - I really want to start this one too!
ReplyDeleteYou are just too funny!!!!
ReplyDeleteSee you Saturday....
I have the startitis too. I'm going to call it Spring Fever. I have 3 WIP's to finish, but I've started two projects that had been kitted up for ages. And I'm eyeing others. I'm just going to say that I'm getting ready for the Up for a Challenge 2012!
ReplyDeleteWow Nicole, you've picked two huge new projects. I loved stitching the Village of HRH and enjoy seeing it hanging on my sewing room wall every day.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for my Ann G. chart and linen to arrive. I know I'll be tempted to start her right away. The colors are wonderful.
Ann Grant is just gorgeous! She is a must do for me... but when? I am going to enjoy watching your progress on all these great projects. Have fun with your stitchy friends.
ReplyDeleteI say this with affection - You're a crazy woman! You do realize they're all BAP's, don't you? lol.
ReplyDeleteIt is tempting as they are all so beautiful and colourful! Have fun!
Beautiful new starts! Ann Grant is going to be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove Ann more every time I see her blogged about - I just started Elizabeth Savilles in similar silk colors so that will just have to do for my spring color fix. Ann is on my list to get for sure - hope you enjoy your stitching group get together - wish I could be there - Melody
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you had the tombstone square already stitched and you've decided to start it over. Boy, I give you credit :).
ReplyDeleteI love the hawk run patterns - they are awesome - so big...and I give kudos to anyone who attempts them. You go girl :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Deb! Too many projects and little time..... ;)
