It has been a very sad couple of days. Lisa was an amazing woman. I didn't know her long, but I am so glad I knew her for the amount of time that I did. She was so generous, so creative and so full of life. Words just can't express how much she'll be missed. My stitching has been here to comfort me - it's such great therapy.
I finished the May block (which I personalized for my dad) on Anniversaries of the Heart...
40 ct. Meadow Rue by Lakeside Linens, various cotton threads (1 over 2). I also got Elizabeth Mears back out ...
40 ct. Vintage Meadow Rue by Lakeside Linens, NPI silks (1 over 2).
The soft colors are very soothing. Write soon...
Big hugs going out to you, Nicole. Beautiful stitching. I have retreated to mine over the last few days, too. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteHugs to you too Nicole. I know you so enjoyed stitching her models and seeing your name in print on her patterns. Then....zip....she's gone. My goodness..ist's just so sad. I'm glad we all can find some comfort in our stitching.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Nicole. I think we're all going to our stitching for comfort right now. I love what you've been working on. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous Nicole. Words fail me...I didn't know Lisa other than through her work and blog, so I know it has to be doubly difficult for those that knew her and had contact with her. May your needle and thread continue to bring you comfort. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces are beautiful Nicole. It's good that we all have our stitching to turn to at this time, I'm glad you can find comfort in yours.
