AotH - July Block Finished

I got this block finished up last night. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

40 ct. Meadow Rue, various cotton over-dyed threads.

I decided to start something new today! It's the Birds of a Feather mystery sampler by With Thy Needle & Thread.

I decided to stitch it on what I think is 40 ct. Lentil by Lakeside Linens. It could be an older dye-lot of Pearled Barley, but I'm pretty sure it's Lentil. :)

The kids only have one more week of school (three days actually) and then our get together in Manning is next Saturday (can't wait for that)!! The next day we'll be headed down to Florida for a few weeks, so my posting may be sporadic. Write when I can!

Anniversaries Progress

Yay! Blogger is back! It's amazing how much you miss something when it's gone!

Anyway, Here is the June Block finished...

And here is June and July together...

July will be for my mom. When I first saw it I immediately thought of her, and it worked out that her birthday is in July. Not sure what made me think of her....

My mom's house - can you tell she likes gray and white?? :) Here is the whole thing....

Well, I'm going to be taking a little blogging break. Things are going to busy for a little while (end of school craziness and we are planning to go to Florida again once school is out). Just thought I'd let you all know it might be awhile until I can post again. I'm also going to be busy working on my Prairie Schooler RR. I'm determined to get the pieces finished before our get together at the French Hens in Manning.

If you haven't seen Katrina and Siobhan's Anniversaries of the Heart finishes - you must go now!! They are both amazing! They inspired me to get back to mine. I'm getting closer to being finished with the June Block (block number 7).

This block is titled "Happy Birthday," but I'm going to change it to "Happy Anniversary" and make it for my husband and I. I can't believe we'll be married 18 years next month. That means I'll have been married for half of my life!! :)

Another future start! Probably the very near future. I ended up unkitting Ann Smith to kit this. I just love this design!!

The linen is 40 ct. Vintage Pecan Butter and the threads are Soie d'Alger.

Construction Continues

I'm still working on the castle part of Elizabeth Mears (it's going to take awhile - it's huge and solid stitching).
